Which scan do I need?
You don't need a Flextight scan for every photograph. It makes most sense for selected frames where the extra file size and detail are actually useful.
Best for full rolls, everyday sharing, regular printing and getting a complete set of useful files from your negatives.
Best when one particular frame needs more: a bigger file, more editing flexibility, detailed archiving or a larger final print.
Worth knowing
The Flextight does not use automatic dust or scratch removal. We handle your film carefully, but the resulting scan may still contain small marks or dust that need retouching afterwards.
How it works
Choose your film format, tell us how many individual frames you need scanning and make sure we can identify exactly which ones they are.
Select 35mm, 120 or 4×5 and set the quantity to the number of individual frames you want scanned.
Clearly identify which negatives or transparencies you want scanned and include your name and order number.
We'll scan the selected frames and send the finished high resolution TIFF files digitally.
Important
If you're sending a strip, sleeve or larger set of negatives, make it completely clear which individual frames are for Flextight scanning. Include your name and order number too so we can match everything up.
Need the whole roll?
If you want an already developed roll scanned from start to finish, our regular Negative Scanning service is the simpler and more economical option.

The main things worth knowing before ordering an individual Flextight scan.
It's most useful for selected frames where you want a larger high quality file for detailed editing, archiving or making a larger print.
We can Flextight scan 35mm, 120 and 4×5 film, including colour negative, colour positive and black and white film.
Flextight scans are supplied as uncompressed TIFF files. Colour files are 48 bit and black and white files are 16 bit.
File sizes are typically around 350MB, although the exact size can vary.
No. The Flextight does not use automatic dust or scratch removal, so some small marks may need retouching afterwards.
You can order individual frames from a roll, but for scanning every frame our regular Negative Scanning service is normally the better fit.
