    Scan resolutions

Not sure which to choose? Medium is our recommendation for most customers.

    Low
    1545 × 1024 px Approx. 700 KB

Great for social media, sharing and everyday use. Plenty for a standard 6 × 4 print.

    High
    6774 × 4492 px Approx. 12 MB

Best for larger prints, heavier cropping, archiving or when you want maximum detail.

Still unsure? Choose Medium. It gives you a lot of usable resolution without the much larger High Res files.

    Good to know

    Develop Only

This processes your film into negatives without scans, ideal if you scan at home.

    Your negatives

Choose whether you want them cut into strips or left uncut when ordering.

    Half frame

Half frame films are scanned as individual frames. If you want two images together, add a note at checkout.

    Index Prints

An Index Print is one print containing thumbnails of the scans from your roll.

    Useful to know

    A few quick answers.

Sending film, getting your scans and everything in between.

How do I get my film to you?

Order online, pack your film securely and include your order number. Post it to our Leeds lab, bring it in or use a drop off location.

    When does my turnaround start?

Use the turnaround quoted for this service. Count from the working day after booking in, confirmed by your Order Received email. Courier delivery alone does not mean your film is booked in.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Mondays count, although the lab is closed to the public.

How will I get my scans?

If you ordered scans, we email your Dropbox link when they are ready. Download and back up your photographs within three months.

Can I get my negatives back?

Yes. Select return postage or collection when ordering. Negatives awaiting collection are held for one month.

What happens if my film is blank?

You only pay for developing. Any scanning charge is refunded.

I have sent film to be developed by Take it Easy multiple times: I always get the scans back quickly, and they always look great. Once I had a ripped film and they even managed to salvage my shots! Will absolutely be using again and again, and I constantly recommend to friends (plus the mascot is adorable?)
