Regardless of the occasion, a roll of film remains one of the best gifts for any analogue photographer. Whether they shoot 35mm or medium format, colour or black and white, we have something for everyone.
You can find our entire film selection here, but if you’d like some help choosing, below is a curated selection of our staff favourites:
Kodak UltraMax - A classic, reliable film stock that works incredibly well in any 35mm film camera.
Ilford HP5 - If you like shooting Black&White images, this film stock is one of the best. We like to push it by a stop to get that extra contrast (pro tip!)
Lomochrome Color 92 - Capture vibrant, retro-inspired shots with the Lomography LomoChrome Color '92 35mm film. This ISO 400 color negative film brings the nostalgic feel of early ’90s drugstore film.

We have all our Evening Intro To Film workshop dates for 2026 up and on the site, so go check those ones out; It's the perfect workshop if you want to get into using film cameras or have recently got one and are unsure how to get started. We also have a special darkroom printing masterclass coming up in January, if you want to take your darkroom experience to the next level. This one is hosted in collaboration with The Art House in Wakefield.
