We were recently asked by Leeds Civic Trust to help digitise a big box of slides that had been gathering dust since the 90s. The collection of slides showcased Leeds in the 1980s and 1990s and documented the developments happening in the city at the time.
As the team at the lab scanned the slides, we discovered snapshots of iconic landmarks like the The Corn Exchange and the Royal Armouries Museum, as well as snippets of the everyday lives of Leeds residents.
Now that the slides are digitised, Leeds Civic Trust can use the images to help showcase the rich history of Leeds to a wider, digital audience.
